The problem with the hoods on the H3 is the plastic louvers, meant to mimic the hood of the original H1, can separate from the vehicle and become airborne. Not all years of the HUMMER H3 apply to the recall as the H3's first model year, 2005, is not listed, and it also doesn't specify if the recall applies to both the H3 SUV and the H3T pickup truck although this is most likely the case since both body styles feature identical hoods.
